About the event
Calling all future vets! This elevated, hands-on experience is designed especially for curious students ages 9–12 who are ready to go beyond pretend play and dive into real-world animal care.
In this immersive class, students will step into the role of a veterinarian and work directly with live farm animals as their patients. Guided by our experienced staff, participants will learn how to safely and respectfully handle animals while practicing authentic veterinary skills. Students will take animal temperatures, listen to heartbeats, explore basic anatomy, and even see tools like an ultrasound in action as they learn how veterinarians assess animal health.
Through observation, critical thinking, and teamwork, students will learn how to evaluate an animal’s condition, ask the right questions, and make informed care decisions. Along the way, they’ll gain a deeper understanding of animal wellness, responsibility, and the science behind veterinary medicine.
