This program is hosted at Critter Barn in partnership with Hamilton Public Schools (virtual enrollment) and is open to 7th and 8th graders, Eligible students must be Hamilton Community School students, non-public, or homeschooled.
Middle School FFA is a project-based, exploratory class that combines classroom learning with real-life agricultural experiences. Students will take their foundational knowledge and design creative projects that raise awareness, educate others, and advocate for agriculture in our modern world.
Throughout the course, participants will:
Engage in hands-on learning at the farm
Explore topics in animal care, agriculture, and sustainability
Develop leadership and communication skills through student-led projects
Join a community of peers who are passionate about farming and nature
Upon completing the course, students will be invited to join Critter Crew and participate in year-round farm shifts, continuing their growth as leaders and contributors beyond the classroom.
