Hogs come to the farm as young piglets in the Spring and stay with us through the fall. One benefit of living on a diversified farm like the Critter Barn is that, once the goat kids are weaned from their mothers, the hogs enjoy fresh goats milk daily along with their regular grain.
"Hogs don't sweat!" Just about any kid who has taken a class at the Critter Barn can share this fact. Staff, volunteers, and students regularly spray down the hogs on hot summer days to help keep them cool.
