The Critter Barn introduces you to
Discovery Dairy in Alto Michigan
A couple years ago, when I met with Kent County Farm Bureau board of directors, I met Annie Link. Annie's enthusiasm for the agricultural education at the Critter Barn was obvious. She visited our farm during Spring Fling and we met again at the State Farm Bureau Convention last fall.
Annie is a member of the Oesch family who run the Swisslane Dairy, a 4th Generation dairy farm. Annie hosts Field Trips and Public events too!
We love to teach about the dairy industry at the Critter Barn, we have baby calves and photographs of a real production farm. We milk dairy goats so kids can begin to understand the world's milk and dairy supply.
But at Discovery Dairy, you can see and visit the production farm, not too common now days. We are happy to introduce our new friends in education, and hope you will visit Annie and her farm soon. Check them out at this link:
